Medium pacer Stuart Meaker’s four-wicket haul set up an easy 6-wicket win for England Lions over Bangladesh A in the 2nd One-Dayer at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
Bangladesh A led by Raqibul Hasan batted first after winning the toss but only to find themselves skittled out for 176. Nazimuddin, who had a decent Test Series against Pakistan recently top scored with an unbeaten 99 which came in 125 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes. Apart from Meaker who claimed 4-47 in 8 overs, spinners Danny Briggs and Scott Brothwick picked up two wickets each.
England Lions stuttered initially at 107 for 4 but in the end eased to the target in 37.3 overs with Wicket Keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow scoring an unbeaten 50 from 65 balls with 6 fours. James Vince with 44 (from 59 balls) and Jos Butler with an unbeaten 41 (from 39 balls) played their part in the run-chase as England Lions leveled the 5-match series 1-1. Nazimuddin got the Man of the Match award.
